I tell people "it does not matter how well trained your horse is, if you don't know how to communicate with him and ride him in a way he understands, he won't be trained very well, for very long...."
What I try to get across to my students is "that if a horse trainer only trains the horse, without training the rider, the horse and rider are both destined to fail."
I hate to see a horse fail or do bad, because the "rider" doesn't know what to do, to "help" the horse understand what to do.....
I say "Everytime I help a horse, I help a rider, Everytime I help a rider, I help a horse".
Remember, "the horse can't get it right, until the rider gets it right......"
